Open Natives LinkWhat is Natives Link?
Natives Link helps people connect with their community through a structured location hierarchy, community stories, verified leadership information and official local announcements.
Who it serves
- Community members
- Clan members
- Clan heads
- Chiefs and traditional representatives
- Assembly members and local civic leaders
- Community organisations
- Local businesses
- Community administrators
Connect through your actual community
Registration follows the verified location chain from country through region, district, community and clan.
Districts, communities and clans should be added from real local information. The platform should not invent locations simply to complete the hierarchy.
Stories and local updates
Members can share community stories within the appropriate location. Updates from followed communities can appear in the user's community feed.
Trusted local leadership
Official traditional announcements are protected by appointment verification and jurisdiction rules.
Approved traditional leaders can publish official announcements only within the jurisdiction permitted by their verified appointment.
Pending, expired or unauthorised appointments must not be represented as having authority to issue official traditional announcements.
Supported community roles
Natives Link includes role-claim and evidence workflows so supported community or civic positions can be reviewed before appropriate privileges are granted.
Traditional announcement authority is more restricted than general community participation. Civic appointments do not automatically confer traditional announcement authority.
Explore your community
Users can search and discover people, services and places connected to their communities.
Signed-in users can also suggest places for inclusion in supported community discovery areas.
